Hello Robin, I live in the US and am recently retired. I stumbled upon your website when I was inquiring as to whether horseradish roots were edible. I too loved being outdoors as much as possible smelling, tasting and discovering things in the woods and vacant lots. I usually had a neighborhood dog as a companion and confidant. I wish you happy wanderings and good eats.

Hi Robin,

Excellent website! Got interested in wild food after reading the classic Food for Free by Richard Mabey. Nice to be able to use some of the weeds that inhabit the allotment!

This is the most (may I?) fabulous British food website I stumbled across until now. And I saw lots of "foodie" ones. Smart, wild (for the weeds :- ) and original. Great !

Hi Robin, what an amazing website that i have stumbled across. I too also used to love foraging in fields as a child in Devon and eat blackberries and get to know what was around me.
I'm doing this again with my daughter who loves rambling, taking photos and learning what's around us and available to us for free.
thank you for such a wonderful interesting site.
happy days to you, sally

Fantastic hedge work! Reuniting with nature and all of its sweet tasting nectar just made my weekend hikes that much more special. Great one Robin......from the CO native.

Thanks Robyn,

We had a great time and found your course very informative. We have made a pork rub, which has gone down very well.Found some edibles growing in a neighbor's garden haha, what a lucky find. The garden is also now suitably stripped of daisies before being mown!
Brilliant day, Fergus is still talking about it. Cant wait till we can organise a wee tour down our way.

Kind regards and many thanks

Hello Robin
A dear mutual friend, Alex Laird, put me on to your website and I'm glad she did. I can't manage to come on your courses because I'll be back in Zambia doing things botanical. In fact, your clear website has given me ideas for my own, which I've only started to make, and thoughts on wild edible foods out there.

Hello Robin
Loving the website. The link came up in google and i've been browsing awhile now. Good to see the fruits of your labour, long may it continue.
We're doing well, had an incredibly tough winter but its all character building stuff. I'm just writing up a report on the winter preserves and stores of wild food and medicinal herbs, the processes et c which should be up in the next few days, i'll send a link through when it happens.
Keep up the fine work
Love to you and Zilla
