Did you know that worldwide there are more than 200 species of the Pine Family, and many of them have edible pine needles, and nuts (seeds).
In this short video Frank Cook (global wild food expert) discusses the many uses of the Pine Family both as a wild food, and medicinally.
Frank reveals that Pine needles are a rich source of Vitamin C., and explains why it is unnecessary to buy Vitamin C. supplements.
He goes on to show you why Pine is such an incredible source of food. For instance did you know that Pine pollen is extremely high in protein? Did you know that Pine helps build and maintain testosterone in the body?
Watch and learn from this master of the plant world.

Some really great information that you’ve made available thank you very much.
It’s incredible how often we pass healthy and nutritious food with out knowing . We should go forth pick it, understand it and eat it – the common food is ours again!
I love this stuff. How many natural nutrients do we pass on our drive to the Health Food Store? Boggles the mind.
You’re absolutely right Barry. My research has shown that many
wild foods have 2 to 3 times more nutrition than cultivated veggies you get from your local shop.
I am looking for the recommendation of a book on: Edible Plants in the Netherlands to make tea with. (In English)
Matthew: A good portable paperback might be something like Richard Mabey’s Food For Free [http://tinyurl.com/wildfoodforfree]. A large amount of the plants would be available in the Netherlands.
If you can read French then I highly recommend Francois Couplan’s Le Regal Vegetal [http://tinyurl.com/leregalvegetal] which covers European Wild Food.
