What to Look for in a Good Wild Food Foraging Course

It’s important when choosing a wild food foraging course that you go out with someone who is experienced and has at minimum a daily/weekly experience of identifying and eating wild edible plants all year round.

There are a lot of foraging courses out there, with some being run by people with little more than “book knowledge”. This could be very detrimental to your health!

Eating wild foods is safe once you have learned which plants are edible, as well as their poisonous look-a-likes. In this video Marcus Harrison from the Wild Food School aims to tell you what you need to be looking out for when choosing a good  foraging course.

well, the person that taught me instilled into my head, whatever you teach anyone has got to be bombproof, and 10 years down the line, its advice that i still adhere to, and, i would like to say, still enjoying the thrill of being able to feed myself safely from natures larder. Personally, i dont teach wildfoods per se, i incorporate their use into the courses that i run, which i find is a more practical way of doing things, but of course, only from my point of view.
