The “life-changing” book that has helped 55k+ people become safe and confident foragers
Introducing Robin Harford, one of the UK’s leading authorities on foraging wild edible plants
Since 2008, I have been running full-time foraging courses and have authored four bestselling foraging books.
I have foraged daily for over 20 years, and I have rolled back the historical record of the wild food plants of Britain and Northern Europe.
I was mentored by a foraging grandmaster called Marcus Harrison. The person that Ray Mears and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall would consult with when making their TV programmes.
After spending years in the British Library pouring over old manuscripts, some dating back as far as the 11th century, Marcus passed on much of his knowledge to me.
Taking up where his work left off, I have slowly unearthed the forgotten knowledge of how we used wild edible plants in the past.
Tastes that have been enjoyed throughout history at the kitchen tables of people, everywhere.
Many believe my knowledge is exceptional, like Michelin chef Richard Corrigan who said this about my work, when recommending this website (Eatweeds) for inclusion in The Times 50 top websites for food and drink:
‘Robin Harford is so passionate about foraging, it’s infectious. What he doesn’t know about, it isn’t worth knowing about.’ – Richard Corrigan
I am one of the top foraging teachers in the country, and many foraging instructors learn from me.
Yet the chances are you may never have heard of me, and until recently you could hardly find a photo or video of me online.
My books and in-person courses are hugely respected and held in high esteem by those who are lucky enough to come across them.
Here’s what the press say
- ‘Highly rated’ – The Guardian
- ‘One of Britain’s most dedicated foragers’ – The Lady
- ‘A revelation!’ – BBC Good Food Magazine
And Naomi Cleaver, the Channel 4 & Sky Presenter said this after attending one of my courses:
‘We absolutely loved the course: fascinating and deeply therapeutic. Robin is a brilliant communicator.’
My public foraging courses attract students from all walks of life, from city dwellers, country lovers, botanists, herbalists, gardeners, horticulturists and naturalists.
And I have privately taught members of the armed forces, management teams at billion dollar tech companies and celebrity chefs.
