Hawthorn fruit

I invest countless hours and hundreds of pounds into eatweeds each month, a passion project started in 2008.

With no ads or outside help, this solo enterprise supports my livelihood and life work.

  1. Great to see you on video! This is perfectly timed as I have a mass of haws this year. I’m going to check out your recipes; thank you. Also, my husband takes hawthorn tablets for clogged arteries, so this should help him too 🙂

  2. Loved the hawthorn video, so much information in just a very few minutes! Here in Australia I don’t know anyone who uses it, except for a few who nibble on the ‘bread and cheese’ (young leaves). I’ve taken cuttings from some very old hedges (relatively speaking) this year. We can only get the pink cultivated variety in nurseries and I want the original for food and because of its history and associations. Fingers crossed that I get a few of these magical trees…
