Sugar free wild cherry nectar

The wild cherries are literally dripping from the trees this year. As I gather armfuls of them to concoct into this delicious Sobriety Drink the juice streamed down my arms to the point that I had to change my shirt.

Next time I’ll gather naked, which will bring a whole new meaning to ‘wild and free’.

Ingredients

  • 2 litre Kilner jar
  • 15 dates
  • wild cherries
  • water

Method

Fill the Kilner jar until is a third full of cherries, then bash them up with a rolling pin so they become squashed and squishy.

Add the dates and fill the jar up with cold water, then place on a windowsill in direct sunlight and leave for three days.

Strain through a sieve, then put into bottles and keep in the refrigerator. Drink at ones pleasure.
