Natural mirrors

Today, I want you to find a plant that tells a story about its survival.

All plants adapt to their environment, as all humans adapt to their environment.

Maybe the plant you find has waxy surfaces that help it conserve water.

Its flexible stems might let it bend in strong winds without breaking.

The plant might have protective spines. These spines show how it defends itself from herbivores that try to eat it.

Study what I call these natural technologies with your fingertips and your eyes.

Ask yourself, how has this plant evolved its response to environmental challenges?

How has it adapted itself in its resilience?

What do you conclude from these observations?

Do you see any mirroring of how you have adapted to your environment?

You may have some protective barriers because that’s how you’ve learned to survive in certain situations.

Have you developed or cultivated flexibility in life rather than being too rigid?

How have you learned to thrive in your particular landscape of life?
