Serenading Linden Lime

Most of my work goes to newsletter subscribers only. When you know some plants, Domei comes next.

A simple, quiet practice built around giving one plant your full attention without an app or a cushion or the need for a belief system. Some call it 'zen in work boots'.

  1. Oh, my beloved linden lime
I look forward to your blossoms
    And your delightful scent
    Every June without fail
You gift us fragrance and medicine
I drink your foraged flower tea all year round

  2. That’s lovely
I was in Lisbon at the end of May – the Lindens were in full bloom and scenting the air. As I arrived from the airport on the Metro at Indente station, ascending the stairs the scent met me halfway. What a wonderful greeting, there was no mistaking the soothing fragrance of this blossom’s blessing

  3. Aah! And that’s a big exhale for me, of tension I didn’t even know I was holding. And a big imaginary inhale of that warm honeyed sweetness in my memory banks. Thank you Robin for another piece of goodness. Wishing you well!

  4. I used to choose my walking routes around Exeter based on the trees. There are some spectacular Limes I miss living in the north! Thank you for the visual, my olfactory memory will complete the picture…
